Characters in Broken Future start at 50 'points'

 

FUDGE Trait scale: Terrible, Poor, Mediocre, Fair, Good, Great, Superb

Each change to an attribute is 3 'levels'. Increases cost, decreases refund.

Literate; Lucky; Many people owe him favors; Never disoriented in

zero Gravity; Never forgets a name/face/whatever; Night Vision;

Patron; Perfect Timing; Peripheral Vision; Quick Reflexes; Rank;

Rapid Healing; Reputation as Hero; Scale; Sense of empathy; Single-

minded - +1 to any lengthy task; Status; Strong Will; Tolerant;

Tough Hide (-1 to damage) Wealth; etc.

 

A Decan can be taken as a Gift (uncontrolled), or a double Gift (controlled). An uncontrolled Gift means that everything the character does is affected by the Decanic modifiers. They get a +1 to everything when the planets and stars are right, -1 when they aren't. They get a +1 to any magic involving their Decan. A controlled Gift is similar, but they can 'turn it off' at will, suppressing the effects of the Decan on their life!

Lazy; Loyal to Companions; Manic-Depressive; Melancholy; Multiple

Personality; Must obey senior officers; Nosy; Obsession; Outlaw;

Overconfident; Owes favors; Phobias; Poor; Practical Joker; Quick-

Tempered; Quixotic; Self-defense Pacifist; Socially awkward; Soft-

Undeveloped skills default to POOR, if at all. A developed skill costs 1 'point' to raise to MEDIOCRE, and then doubling each subsequent level. No skill higher than GREAT without GM approval.
